As we have started exploring the beauties found in Chhattisgarh, we have discovered the various waterfalls present in the vicinity that would be a pleasure for any traveler to visit. Besides these waterfalls, the rivers are eye catchy. The sublime waterfalls flowing down the hill creates small and large rivers at the base making it a tourist visiting area and a house to many different species of reptiles.
The Bhaisan Dhara is located within the Kanger National Park passing through the thick bamboo and Sal tress, making it difficult for any medium to pass through. The forest neither has sunlight nor telephone signals. The forest covers almost four hectares of land, which is a wide area of land to be covered. After crossing the dense forest and the huge land of wreck, we reach the bed of the river that looks like a small lake, with crystal clear water. The water in the lake is so clear and non-disturbing that one cannot be see any ripple forming. There is ultimately no presence of external environment making it the silent places of the world.
Upon reaching the valley, one can only experience a prismatic and subtle view of the lake with water body surrounded by dense forest. The Kanger River has lot many such small or big lakes, also known as Dharas or water pools hidden within. These rivers are densely surrounded and covered by the forests that are great to experience and view. Being one of the dense forests in the world, safety of the travelers is always looked upon. Tropical areas are very much prone to unwanted rains and undiscovered puddles. Traveling across the forest with two wheelers is definitely not advised, and if traveling with family, four wheelers with sufficient amount of alternate food, clothing, etc is suggested to be filled in.
The dharas near the Kanger River is a house to many different reptiles like crocodiles, tortoise and snakes. Being an untouched zone, the reptiles are filled considering it to be a permanent home. There is also a nearby crocodile wildlife sanctuary that offers travelers a great picnic outing spot and a travelers sightseeing point. In fact, the river has a nearby watch tower which provides an awesome view of the lake and its panoramic view. The Bhaisan Dhara is located approx 65kms from Jagdalpur which is only about 3 hours drive from the city. The best time to visit the lake is during the winter seasons. The rainy seasons are definitely not advised as most of the roads are blocked due to either slides or mud puddles making it difficult for even 4 wheelers to travel.
The scenic beauty description of the Bhaisan Dhara makes this place one of the most fascinating spot for visit when in Chhattisgarh.
